A Power-Pop is a one-of-a-kind frozen dessert that was developed with all consumers in mind, whether they are lactose-intolerant, vegan, or allergic to soy, wheat, tree nuts, or peanuts. It caters to rising food trends, including “vegan”, “nutrient-rich”, “allergen-free”, “sustainable, and “dairy-free”. This unique dessert was carefully crafted with ingredients that not only satisfy consumer demands and nutrition claims, but also consider environmental issues. Power-Pop bars are comprised of two main layers; a smooth, protein-packed chocolate “ice cream” layer and a fiber-rich raspberry sorbet layer. The main ingredients in the bar’s chocolate layer are brown rice protein concentrate and fortified rice milk, Brown rice protein concentrate is an excellent source of total, essential, and branched-chain amino acids, primarily arginine, glutamic acid, leucine, and aspartic acid . In comparison to whey or soy protein, brown rice has greater utility since it is allergen-free and may be used as a substitute without losing any essential nutrients. Rice milk is a great non-dairy substitute because it does not contain any allergens, and is more sustainable when produced than cow’s milk .
