Mangoco is a fruit-based, iron fortified mango coconut lassi powdered beverage that has a 6-month ambient shelf life. A novel take on mango lassi, a popular traditional North Indian beverage made from yogurt, milk or water, mango, and spices, Mangoco delivers 1)
convenience, 2) delicious and authentic experience, 3) nutritional value. It is the flagship product of GoCo, a fruit beverage manufacturer that serves the hotels, restaurants, and catering (HoReCa) industry in India. GoCo’s mission is to provide authentic, value-added beverages to developing countries that are affordable, accessible, and sustainable. Wrapped in a dissolvable food-grade polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) film, a convenient single serving pack of Mangoco can be shaken or mixed with water for a mango lassi with an excellent source of iron, folate, vitamin C, vitamin A, and good source of protein, fiber, pre- and probiotics, a low glycemic load, and the luxurious flavor and mouthfeel of a fresh mango lassi. Mangoco uses locally sourced mango, coconut, and yogurt, and is dried using foam mat drying (FMD), an inexpensive and lower-energy drying process that better preserves heat sensitive compounds. Bulk servings of Mangoco are packaged in aluminum boxes with a moisture absorbing sachet secured to the lid.
